Changes to the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators

Changes to the NDIS (Provider Registration and Practice Standards) Rules 2018 and NDIS (Quality Indicators) Guidelines 2018 have come into effect from 15 November 2021.

New NDIS Practice Standards amendments introduce three new Practice Standards: Mealtime management, Severe dysphagia management and Emergency and disaster management.

Transition periods apply for mealtime management and emergency and disaster management. There is no transition period for severe dysphagia management.

NDIS providers affected by these changes need to make sure their policies, procedures and practices comply.
